LANCASTER, SC::::::::: Mr. Charles Edward Clifton, age 82, of 681 Fickling Drive, died Monday, August 23, 2010 at his home. He was born August 23, 1928 in Jefferson, the son of the late James Clifton and Mollie Funderburk Clifton and was the husband of the late Virginia Laney Clifton. Mr. Clifton retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Glenwood Heights Baptist Church. Mr. Clifton is survived by a son Mike Clifton and his wife Cheryl of Lugoff, 3 daughters, Emily Hinson, Cindy Hegler and her husband Michael and Becky McManus and her husband Larry all of Lancaster, 3 brothers, J.R. Clifton of TN, Cecil and Albert Clifton both of Lancaster, 2 sisters, Betty Jean Outlaw of VA and Jeanette Simpson of UT, 7 grandchildren, Gina Edwards, Kristi Hinson, Many Edwards, Brandy Hinson, Kyle Hegler, Andy and Brian Clifton, and 5 great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Clifton will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Glenwood Heights Baptist Church by Rev. Steve Neal and Rev. Joe Reed. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park. The Family of Mr. Clifton will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Hartley Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Lancaster, 902 W.
