LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Teresa Catherine "Cathy" Bigham Owen, age 59, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Kershaw Health.  She was born November 7, 1961 in Monroe, NC, a daughter of Hazel Amelia Robertson Bigham and the late David Lyle Bigham and was the wife of Chandler Owen.  Mrs. Owen worked with EMS and was a 911 dispatcher. She also was a Lancaster County Reserve Officer. Mrs. Owen enjoyed doing all kinds of crafts, including quilting, crocheting, etc.  She loved to travel, and go to the mountains and the beach.  Mrs. Owen earned her Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of SC and was currently working on her Bachelor Degree.

Mrs. Owen is survived by her husband of 16 years, Chandler Owen; three sons, Cody Miller (Christy), Chris Miller (Taylor), and Rob Owen; three grandchildren, Conner Miller, Cody Miller, Jr., and Christopher Miller; her mother, Hazel Bigham; a brother, David Bigham and his special friend, Anita Self; two sisters, Donna Bigham, and Tammy Bigham; a brother-in-law, Bob Owen (Deb); a special niece, Amanda Self; a special nephew, Christopher Self (Susan); a special great niece, Carter Brooklyn Self "Tootie"; a special great nephew, Grayson Morris; two other nieces, Maria Bigham, and Kasey Bigham; a nephew, Robbie (Megan) Bigham; a great-niece, Kitana; and a great-nephew, Reese.

Mrs. Owen was preceded in death by her father, David Bigham.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be 3:00 pm Monday, January 4, 2021 at Abney Baptist Church Cemetery officiated by Rev. Scott Robinson and Rev. Todd Gandy.  Mrs. Owen will be available for public viewing one hour prior to the service at the graveside.  The family will receive friends following the burial at the graveside.
