MARSHVILLE, NC ~ Catherine Robinson Cannon, 93, of Marshville, NC passed away Saturday, February 10th, 2024 at Olive Branch Family Care Home. She was born May 26th, 1930 in Monroe, NC. The daughter of the late Aubrey David Couick and Maude Flowe Couick.

She loved God, family, and teaching squirrels how to swim. She worked at JCPenney's for many years and retired from there. She always enjoyed gardening and working in her yard, keeping an eye out for those pesky snakes also known as soaker hoses. She made the best pecan pies and always brought one (or two) to gatherings. She enjoyed spending time with her sisters and family. She was a member of Shiloh ARP Church.

Preceded in death by her first husband Earl Robinson of Lancaster, SC and her second husband Joe Cannon of Lancaster, SC. Brothers Harley Couick, Ney Couick and Harold Couick. Sisters Bert Price, Ruby Simpson and Jean McWhorter. Great nephews Campbell Couick and Seth Muennich.

She is survived by her daughter Pam Hyatt (Kevin) of Wingate, NC. Granddaughter Laura Hyatt of Savannah, GA. Grandson Zach Hyatt (Kelly) of Marshville, NC. Step-Children Joan Mitchell (Tom), Keith Cannon, Barry Cannon (Caron). Sisters Helen McAteer (Bill) of Monroe, NC; Doris Mungo (George B) of Lancaster, SC. Sisters-in law Caroleene Couick of Monroe, NC and Mary Couick of York, SC. Brother-in-law Dan Robinson of Lancaster, SC. Countless nephews, nieces and extended family and friends.

The family would like thank the staff at Olive Branch Family Care Home for compassionately caring for Mrs. Cannon for the last 4 years. Also Hospice for the care that they provided for her as well over the last year.

A Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Cannon will be Tuesday, February 13th, 2024 at 11:00 am at Shiloh ARP Church with the Rev. Dean Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in the Shiloh ARP Church cemetery.
