LANCASTER, SC ::::::::::: Mrs. Carolyn Neal Turner, age 78, of 457 Belk Street, died Saturday, April 24, 2010 at her home. She was born May 16, 1931 in Lancaster County, the daughter of the late Toy Lee Neal and Bernice Belk Neal. Mrs. Turner retired from Springs Industries - Customer Service Center, enjoyed painting and pottery, was a member of the Arts League, a charter member of Glenwood Heights Baptist Church and a member of Lynwood United Methodist Church. Mrs. Turner is survived by 2 sons, Michael Turner of Lancaster and Tracy Turner of Houston, TX, 3 brothers, Buddy Neal of Albuquerque, NM, Bobby Neal of Camden, and Terry Neal of Lancaster, 2 sisters, Phyllis Ingram and Polly Hinson both of Lancaster, a grandson, Garrick Turner and his wife Mary Alice of Columbia, and a great grandchild, Carolyn Grace Turner.Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by brother, Richard Lee Neal.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Turner will be 3:00 pm, Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at The Chapel of Hartley Funeral Home by Rev. Steve Neal with cremation to follow at Hartley Crematory.The Family will receive friends one hour before the service from 1:30 - 3:00 pm, Tuesday, April 27, 2010 and in lieu of flowers suggest memorial contributions be made to Glenwood Heights Baptist Church, 600 Nichols Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
