LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Carolyn Pendergrass Mathis, age 79, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 11, 2024, at home.  She was born March 7, 1945, in Florence, SC, daughter of the late John Moore Pendergrass and Dorothy Pack Pendergrass and was the wife of the late Claude Bailey "CB" Mathis. Mrs. Mathis was a member of Covenant Baptist Church.

Mrs. Mathis is survived by her children, Craig Mathis (April) and Crista Mathis (fiancé Chad Treece); grandchildren, Clay Mathis, Carson Blackmon, and Hannah Mathis; a sister, Ruth P. Petersen (Paul); and a brother-in-law, Carroll King.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Mathis will be private.
