LANCASTER, SC ::::: Ms. Carol Richards Hinson, age 64, died Saturday, March 1, 2014 at White Oak Manor. She was born August 22, 1949 in Northampton, England, the daughter of the late Arthur George Richards and Louisa Emily White Richards. Ms. Hinson retired from U.S. Textiles, was a member of the British Wives Club and of the Protestant faith. She loved her family dearly. Her son was the light of her life and she was very close to her nieces and nephews and great niece, Sophia and great nephew, Anderson.

Ms. Hinson is survived by a son, Michael Hinson and his wife Alison of Lancaster, two brothers, Ron Richards and his wife June of Brixworth, England and Gordon Richards of Old, England, four sisters, Joan Ryan of San Andreas, CA, Marie Barritt of Essex, England, June McKeown of Kettering, England, and Betty Brasington of Lancaster, two nieces Michelle Sinor and her husband Cyrus of Charleston and Angela Brasington of Washington, DC, and a nephew, Derrick Brasington and his wife Lauren of New Orleans, LA.

Ms. Hinson was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Richards and a sister, Vera Pengelly.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Ms. Hinson will be 11:00 am Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Don Waldrop.

The Family of Ms. Hinson will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Monday evening, March 3, 2014 at Burgess Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Lancaster SPCA, PO Box 3042, Lancaster, SC 29721.
