FORT MILL, SC::: Mr. Carl William Montgomery, age 80, died Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at his home. He was born August 6, 1930 in Camden, SC, the son of the late Carl William Montgomery and Kathleen Carter Ashlaw and was the husband of Mary "Toots" Colvin Montgomery. Mr. Montgomery retired from DuPont, was a lifetime member of Kershaw Masonic Lodge #29, Charter Member of Jamil Shrine Center, Past President of the Camden Shrine Club and a member of Littleton Street United Methodist Church. Mr. Montgomery is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary "Toots" Colvin Montgomery of the home, a son, Carl W. "Bill" Montgomery, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Prosperity, a daughter, Catherine M. McCaskill and her husband Robert of Charlotte, 3 grandchildren; Robert Edward McCaskill, Megan M. Collier and her husband Dave, and Tyler Clay Montgomery; and 3 great grandchildren, Jake Ryan McCaskill, William Robert McCaskill, and Ethan Montgomery Collier. The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Montgomery will be 4:00 pm Friday, April 29, 2011 at The Chapel of Hartley Funeral Home by Rev. Dr. Dale Roach.
