LANCASTER, SC :::::::::: Mr. Calvin Finley Stewart, age 70, died Friday, October 24, 2008 at Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born November 25, 1937 in Lancaster County, the son of the late Elmer Wesley Stewart and Pearl Hardin Stewart and was the husband of Joann Hinson Stewart. Mr. Stewart retired from Westinghouse and was a member of Second Baptist Church where he had served as the former custodian for 13 years. Mr. Stewart is survived by his wife, Joann Hinson Stewart of the home, a son, Wesley C. Stewart and his wife Lori, 2 daughters, Becky Stewart Beard and her husband Randy and Wanda Stewart Knight and her husband Willard Knight, Jr., a brother, Gerald Stewart and his wife Sue, and 4 grandchildren, Heather Bailey, John Knight, Jennifer Knight, and Danielle Beard all of Lancaster.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Stewart will be 3:00 pm, Sunday afternoon, October 26, 2008 at Second Baptist Church by Dr. Brian Saxon and Rev. Larry Helm with burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.The Family of Mr. Stewart will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00pm Saturday evening, October 25, 2008 at Hartley Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions to Second Baptist Church Building Fund, 1426 Great Falls Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720.
