KERSHAW, SC ~ Mr. Mathey Edward "Buddy" Barrett, age 89, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021.   He was born March 30, 1932, in Kershaw, SC, a son of the late Hazel Barrett and Allie Boone Barrett Baker. Mr. Barrett served in the United States Air Force for four years.  He was a retired commercial construction builder. Mr. Barrett loved the outdoors where he enjoyed fishing and his horses. Mr. Barrett was a member at Refuge Baptist Church.

Mr. Barrett is survived by two daughters, Libby Adams (Danny), and Debbie O'Neil (Denis); five grandchildren, Josh Adams (Kayla), Justin Adams (Krista), John Payne (Keli), Matthew O'Neil (Ashley), and Michael O'Neil (Samantha); seven great-grandchildren, Dawson Barrett Adams, Wyatt Ethan Adams, Everett Allen Adams, Dani Pippin, Aiden Matthew O'Neil, Noah Christopher O'Neil, and Riley Grace O'Neil.

Mr. Barrett was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Clyde Barrett; and one sister, Mary Brown.
