LANCASTER, SC –Mr. Ervin "Bud" Lee Nordling, age 98, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024. He was born September 24, 1925, in Champaign, Illinois, the son of the late Ernest Gustav Nordling and the late Ruth Hoover Nordling and was the husband the late Patsy Lane Nordling. Bud and Patsy celebrated 70 years of marriage. He worked for the University of Illinois as supervisor of their poultry farm. Bud retired after 35 years and then was a K-Mart greeter for several years. He enjoyed cheering for the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears and was a super fan of The Fighting Illini.

Bud is survived by his son, Gary Nordling, and his wife Lori; two grandchildren, Crystal Nordling Colon (Junior) and Matthew Nordling (Allison); and one great grandson, Jared Colon.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Nordling; his daughter, Kay; his son, Jeffrey; great grandson, Julian Colon; and his parents, Ernest and Ruth Nordling.
