HEATH SPRINGS, SC ~ Mrs. Brindell Cauthen Medlin, age 76, passed away Friday, August 18, 2023. She was born November 9, 1946, in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Joseph Alva Cauthen, Sr. and Emma Mae Kelly Cauthen and was the wife of the late Charles Medlin. Mrs. Brindell enjoyed watching tv, playing with her dogs, and loved being with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Brindell is survived by her son, James Moak; grandson, Joseph "Joey" Moak (Olivia Sullivan); five great grandchildren, Hailey Medlin, Hunter Medlin, Carter Moak, Aimee Moak, and Joseph "JoJo" Moak, Jr.; a brother, Ervin Cauthen; two sisters, Louise Copeland and Desiree Edwards (Bill); and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Brindell was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Medlin; her parents; and a brother, Joseph A. Cauthen, Jr.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Brindell will be 3:00 pm, Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Clinton Spears. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at Burgess Funeral Home.
