LANCASTER, SC –Mr. Brian Scott Pitmon, age 46, passed away Monday, October 9, 2023. He was born July 31, 1977, in Charlotte, NC, son of Ernest Marion Pitmon and Dianne Porter Pitmon. Brian was a certified electrician and also enjoyed remodeling projects. He loved fishing, sports, and all the farm animals. Brian was a football fan of the Carolina Gamecocks, and a basketball fan of the NC Tarheels and Chicago Bulls. He loved playing sports in high school, most of all basketball, baseball, and football. Brian was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Brian is survived by his parents, Marion and Dianne Pitmon; his sister, Melissa Pitmon Munn (Chris Bailey); and caregiver, Russell Mobley.

Brian was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Howard and Ruby Porter; and paternal grandparents, Walter and Evelyn Pitmon.

The Celebration of Life Service will be 3:00 pm Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Bethlehem Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Patrick Blackmon and Rev. Cliff Henson. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Burgess Funeral Home.
