LANCASTER, SC::::Mr. Brian Scott Knight, age 50, died Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill. He was born November 21, 1964 in Lancaster, the son of Carolyn Stogner Knight and the late Gary Lathan Knight and the husband of Deborah Shute Knight. He was employed with Lance in Charlotte, NC for 15 years. Mr. Knight was a member of Union Baptist Church. He loved Gamecock football, Atlanta Braves baseball and Nascar racing. Mr. Knight loved the beach, riding motorcycles and most of all, his family. He was a loving son, husband, father, brother and friend.

Mr. Knight is survived by his wife, Deborah Shute Knight; his mother, Carolyn Stogner Knight of Lancaster, a daughter, Jennifer Hinson also of Lancaster, a brother, Charles Gary "Chuck" Knight and his wife Teresa of Athens, Ga.; a sister, Pamela Knight McManus and her husband Charlie of Lancaster; a granddaughter, Savannah Hinson; a grandson, Zachary Hinson; two aunts, Eva Alexander and her husband Earl and Betty Blakley, all of Lancaster; two nephews, Chase Michael Knight and Justin Bradley Knight of Athens, Ga.;and a niece, Meredith McManus Simpson and her husband Furman of Seneca, SC.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Knight will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Union Baptist Church, 5003 Taxahaw Road, Lancaster, SC by Rev. Jackie Jenkins and Rev. JD Wilson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Monday, August 24, 2015 at Burgess Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions be made to Union Baptist Church, 5003 Taxahaw Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
