It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Brenda Scull, 81, on May 24, 2026, in Lancaster County, South Carolina. Brenda was born to Wilford Tenton and Euretha Reese (Godbey) Wesley, on May 3, 1945, in the small rural village of Hedrick in Warren County, Indiana. She attended Judyville Elementary school until the 8th grade and then graduated from Seeger High school in May of 1963.

She attended Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana for one year, where she met her first husband, Larry Wallace. They married in 1964 and moved to Indianapolis, Indiana where she gave birth to their two sons. She remarried in 1975 and lived for a short time in Nashville, Tennessee before returning to Indiana. Brenda and her third husband Nick have been partners since 1994.

She worked for the luxury fine china and crystal retailer, N. Theobald, Inc., in Indianapolis for several years and then as an office manager for the cleaning chemical company, Pure Corporation, in Indianapolis until she retired in 2007.

She was a devoted mother and adored her grandchildren. She loved caring for the flowers and plants in and around her home. She really enjoyed being outdoors and hiking on park trails. Visiting state, national, and international parks was a favorite pastime. She loved seeing wildlife in native habitat. At home, she enjoyed decorating, especially for the holidays. She also enjoyed oil painting, arranging flowers, reading, playing games, and attending community events with friends.

She survived by her third husband, Nicholas Scull; son, Bret Alan Wallace (Melissa) of Henderson, NV; son, Jeffrey Lee Wallace (Shelia) of Deville, Louisiana; grandsons, Kevin Wallace (Amethyst) and Austin Wallace (Hailey); granddaughters, Samantha Wallace and Kaylin Wallace; brother, Richard Wesley (Edith) of Williamsport IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilford Tenton and Euretha Reese Wesley; her first and second husbands, Larry Wallace and Briant Sando III; brother, Lawrence Wesley; sisters, Mary Bales, Martha Koekenberg, and Dorothy Jaynes.

A Celebration of Life Service for Brenda will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home, in Lancaster, South Carolina. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
