LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Brenda Elaine Steele Richardson, age 77, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024. She was born October 2, 1946, in Lancaster, SC, daughter of the late Dudley Steele and Emma Hinson Steele and was the wife of Bobby Richardson. Mrs. Richardson was a simple woman who was not hard to please and never had a harsh word to say about anyone. She loved to cook and sew with her sister, Lib, was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, and just an all-around wonderful person. Family was most important to her, and she loved them all dearly including her sweet dog, Sassy. Mrs. Richardson was a devout Christian and member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church where she was secretary for 36 years and taught girl's ministry classes.  If the doors were open, she was always there.

Mrs. Richardson is survived by her husband of 55 ½ years, Bobby Richardson; two sons, Brian Richardson (Cindy) and Brent Richardson (Bonnie); four grandchildren, Hunter Albrecht, Emilie Albrecht, Grant Albrecht, and Taylor Haile; one great grandchild, Hensley Haile; sister, Lib Glenn; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Darwin Steele, Harold Steele, Robert Steele, and Charles Steele; and sister, Joyce Pierce.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Richardson will be 3:00 pm Sunday, August 18, 2024, at First Pentecostal Holiness Church officiated by Rev. Tommy Ross and Rev. Greg Baker. Burial will follow at St. Luke United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorials may be made to First Pentecostal Holiness Church, PO Box 256, Lancaster, SC 29721 or a Charity of One's Choosing.
