LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Brenda Lynn Spinks Miley, age 77, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Carolinas Medical Center.  She was born September 9, 1947, in Atlanta, GA, a daughter of the late James Rawleigh Spinks and Mildred Rodgers Butler and was the wife of the late Porter "Bill" Miley, Jr. Mrs. Miley was a registered nurse for more than 50 years with her last 15 years at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. She loved gardening, hummingbirds, and the beach, especially New Smyrna Beach in Florida. She loved her children and grandchildren and was of the Christian faith.

Mrs. Miley is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Miley and her partner, Michael Colfer and Tracey Miley Shott and her husband, Andrew Shott; a sister, Bonnie Holley; and four grandchildren, Madisen Bennett, Skyler Bennett, Ethan Shott and Tyler Shott.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Spinks and Mildred Butler; her husband, Porter "Bill" Miley, Jr.; and a sister, Tammy Hubbard.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Miley will be 3:00 pm Friday, December 20, 2024, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home.
