LANCASTER, SC: Mrs. Brenda Davis Bass, age 65, died Saturday, November 15, 2014 at her home. She was born October 9, 1949 in Bladenboro, NC the daughter of the late Chester Martin Davis and Velma Vann Guyton and was the wife of Harold Bass. Mrs. Bass was a retired Free and Reduced Clerk - Child Nutrition Department for Union County Public Schools.

Mrs. Bass is survived by her husband, Harold Bass, two sons, Christopher Blocker and his wife Emily of Fort Mill and Brian Bass of Wilson, NC, two daughters, Courtney Boksan and her husband Shawn of Seven Valleys, PA, and Rebecca Hinshaw and her husband Royal of East Bend, NC, and seven grandchildren, Ella, Ethan, Will, Abigail, Emma, Zoe, and Shawn, Jr.

The Celebration of Life Memorial service for Mrs. Bass will be 11:00 am Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home.

The family of Mrs. Bass will receive friends immediately following the service and in lieu of flowers suggest memorial contributions to Carolinas Ovarian Cancer Fund at Levine Cancer Institute, c/o Carolinas Healthcare Foundation at www.givecarolinas.org or www.togetherwefeed.org
