LANCASTER, SC ~ Brenda Sue Michaw Baker passed away peacefully at MUSC-Lancaster at the age of 82 years old on June 20th, 2025. Brenda was a proud momma and mawmaw. She loved her family dearly and always enjoyed spending time together. She was also a best friend to Brenda J., that meant the world to her. She was a proud member of Pleasant Dale Baptist Church and loved to tell everyone how great her Preacher Jessie was. She was a strong Christian woman that loved her family, friends, and church and was proud to tell others about them. She loved being able to watch all her boys race throughout the years, having girls' days, and getting her hair and nails done that gave her even more "sass". If someone ever complimented her hair or clothes she would always proudly tell them to "go see my girls at Trendsetters". Brenda loved pictures and kept everything her children and grandchildren made throughout the years. She loved keeping everyone on their toes and made sure that as long as she was around, there would never be a dull moment. There will always only be one, Brenda Baker.

Brenda is survived by her four children, Pam Yarber (Mike), Kim Newland (Dennis), Brandy Baker (Loree), and Lisa Couch (Bobby); her eleven grandchildren, Brittany Ciucerich (Kevin), Garret Newland, Austin Baker (Kelsey), Alyssa Allen (Darren), Andrew Baker (Kate), Brady Kirk (Gracee), Kenley Bowers (Nick), Averie Baker, Madilyn Richardson, Trevor Kidwell, and Nayomi Kidwell; her eight great-grandchildren, Braxton, Bryce, Leah, Addison, Cooper, Brentley, Cannan, and Josie; and her two siblings, Bill Michaw, and Renaye Michaw.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Zanie Michaw and Dorothy Small Michaw; and three brothers, Stanley Michaw, Jason Michaw, and Allen Michaw.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Brenda will be 3:00 pm Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Jessie Adams. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary.
