LANCASTER, SC ~ Brandy Nicole Deese, age 40, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024. She was born September 19, 1984, in Lancaster, SC, a daughter of Julie Ann Demby Joyner and the late Michael Earl Deese. Brandy was an LPN at White Oak Manor – Lancaster for over 15 years. She loved her job and taking care of the elderly. Brandy had a heart for each person she encountered as well as every animal. She came across many homeless animals, and they always found a home with her. Brandy enjoyed working in the yard, crafting, traveling, and watching sports, especially the Carolina Gamecocks. She loved spending time with her son, nieces and nephews, and all her family!

Brandy is survived by her son, Braxton Deese; her mother, Julie Joyner (Wayne); her sister, Gina Marie Walters (Lance), and their children, Jayden, Kree, Lakin, and Kade Walters; her maternal grandmother, Betty Demby; step-brother, Phillip Joyner (Marissa), and their children, Eli and Vivian Joyner; step-sister, Emily Bass, and her children, Jordan Anderson, and Kaylee Bass; her special friend and caregiver, Jody Lucas; and many special family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Deese; her maternal grandfather, Edward Demby; and her special aunt, Jean Lucas.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Brandy will be 11:00 am Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Jessie Adams. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Burgess Funeral Home.
