LANCASTER, SC ::::::::::: Mrs. Boots Roberts Griffin, age 84, died Monday, May 7, 2012 in Gaffney SC. She was born November 19, 1927 in Kershaw, SC the daughter of the late Joseph Lonnie Roberts and Mary Estelle Bowers Roberts and was the wife of the late William Brady "Dub" Griffin, Jr. Mrs. Griffin retired from Springs Industries - Personnel Dept., was a member of the Carolina Traffic Club and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Griffin is survived by a son, William Brady "Buddy" Griffin, III and wife Susan of Gaffney, a daughter, Kristin Griffin and her partner Debbie Simms of San Jose, CA, and 2 great grandchildren, William Brady "Brad" Griffin, IV, and Brittany Nicole Griffin.Mrs. Griffin was preceded in death by a brother, Wilburn Roberts, and 3 sisters, Ila Faye Caskey, Ponee Byrd, and Ruth Threatt. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Griffin will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 10, 2012 at The Chapel of Hartley Funeral Home by Rev. Bill Sumner. Entombment will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park Mausoleum. The Family of Mrs. Griffin will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Hartley Funeral Home and the family suggests memorials to Hospice of Lancaster, 902 W.
