LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Bonnie McNaughton Stacks, age 90, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2026. She was born on March 26, 1936, in Kershaw, SC, a daughter of the late Ernest B. McNaughton and the late Nannie Mae Johnson McNaughton and was the loving wife of the late Porter Lee Stacks.

Bonnie was a devoted member of Glenwood Heights Baptist Church, where she faithfully served the Lord. She sang in the choir, served as choir director and Sunday School teacher, led missions activities, and helped with Vacation Bible School. God blessed her with a beautiful gift of singing, and she joyfully used that talent to serve Him. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she made it a daily practice to spend time reading her Bible.

Bonnie also cherished the friendships she shared with her “Gameday Group,” enjoying their time together playing cards and making memories. She loved traveling to the beach and mountains, but above all, she loved her family. She found great joy in doing things for those she loved, always showing her affection through thoughtful acts of kindness. Bonnie was also a wonderful cook, and her homemade biscuits were a favorite of everyone who had the pleasure of enjoying them.

Bonnie is survived by her son, Phillip L. Stacks; her daughter, Janet Stacks; her grandchildren, Melissa Catoe (Johnny), and Grant Stacks (Heather); her great-grandchildren, Andrew Catoe, Zachary Catoe, Madelyn Stacks, and Adeley Stacks; her sister, Peggy Joyner and her family, Derek Joyner (Jennifer), Precious Joyner, CJ Joyner (Gracie), and Eric Joyner.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Porter Stacks; her son, Jeffery L. Stacks; and her parents, Ernest and Nan McNaughton.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Bonnie will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at Glenwood Heights Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Daniel Porter. A private burial will follow. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 1:00pm to 2:00pm, at the church.
