LANCASTER, SC ~ Bonnie Lee Burkhard Colletti, 66, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at her home in Lancaster, South Carolina, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on December 8, 1959, in Red Bank, New Jersey, Bonnie was the daughter of the late Harold Fredrick Burkhard and Carolyn Westendorf Burkhard, and the beloved wife of the late Joseph Richard Colletti.

Bonnie will be remembered for the deep love she had for her family, especially her cherished grandchildren, who brought her endless joy. She found happiness in life’s simple moments — dancing with her grandkids, celebrating Christmas, and spending time at the beach, including special memories at Carolina Beach with her family. She also treasured a recent trip to Florida, where she was able to reconnect with loved ones she had not seen in years — a time she described as one of the happiest of her life.

She took great pride in her work as a hairdresser, where her warmth and bright smile made everyone feel welcome. Known for her vibrant personality and playful sense of humor, Bonnie had a gift for making people laugh and feel at ease.

In her final weeks, Bonnie shared what mattered most to her: “I love my babies very much… they are my angels. They brighten my day.” She spoke often of her family with pride and love, and encouraged those she loved to “be strong” and carry on with love.

Above all, Bonnie loved the Lord and carried a strong, unwavering faith throughout her life.

Bonnie is survived by her daughters, Danielle Colletti (Frank) and Kiera Colletti; her son, Salvatore “Sammy” Colletti; her beloved grandchildren, Liabella Sullivano, Kian Nuqui, and Aurora Nuqui; and her sister, Susan Harylka (Steven).

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Colletti; her grandson, Noah Nuqui; and her parents, Harold and Carolyn Burkhard.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 6:00 PM at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home in Lancaster, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

In honor of “Bonnie Bright,” the family kindly asks guests to wear bright-colored clothing to celebrate her joyful spirit.

She will be deeply missed, but the love and laughter she shared will remain with all who knew her.
