LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Bobby Walton Roberts, age 75, died Saturday, July 24, 2021.  He was born September 20, 1945, in Roanoke, VA, a son of the late John Scott Roberts and Vesta Walton Lambert. Mr. Roberts loved his country, where he served in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, Mr. Roberts worked for more than two decades as an Electrical/Nuclear Technician for Duke Energy in Charlotte, NC. He was a health and fitness fanatic, loved to exercise outdoors, was an avid runner, and completed multiple half-marathon races. Mr. Roberts loved the beach, especially his time in Myrtle Beach, SC. He was an animal lover and enjoyed sitting at home, reading some of his favorite books beside his beloved dog, Shorty.

Mr. Roberts enjoyed spending time with those whom he loved dearly. He had a special love for his grandchildren. Mr. Roberts was a member at Covenant Baptist Church where he sang in the church choir.

Mr. Roberts is survived by his three daughters; Marie Roberts Johnson (Jimmy), Julie Roberts Baugher (Matthew), and Lorie Roberts (Shannon Parker); four grandchildren, Torie Rebecca Johnson, Emmie Grace Johnson, Ashbie Marie Johnson, and one on the way; a brother, James "Jimmy" Scott Roberts, and many special friends and family members.

Mr. Roberts is preceded in death by his parents, John Scott Roberts, and Vesta Walton Lambert.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Roberts will be 10:00am Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Covenant Baptist Church in Lancaster.
