LANCASTER, SC :::::::::: Mr. Bobby Ray Pressley, age 71, died Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at his home. He was born April 2, 1937 in York County, the son of the late Marcus LeRoy Pressley and Wincey Price Pressley and was the husband of Elaine McAteer Pressley. Mr. Pressley was a retired plumber, an active member of West Gantt First Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and Usher and served our great country in the United States Army. Mr. Pressley is survived by his wife, Elaine McAteer Pressley, 2 daughters, Angela Sloop and Victoria Rochester both of Wilmington, NC, a brother, Jerry Pressley and his wife Linda of Lancaster, a sister, Evelyn Hargett also of Lancaster, and 3 grandchildren, Julian Sloop, Cory Sloop, and Megan Rochester.Mr. Pressley was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth P. Robinson, and 3 brothers, Jack Pressley, Roy Pressley, and Thomas Pressley.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Pressley will be 3:00 pm, Friday afternoon, May 2, 2008 at Hartley Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Danny Burnley and Rev. Ron Cook with burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park. The Family of Mr. Pressley will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 2:00 - 3:00 pm Friday at Hartley Funeral Home and suggest in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to West Gantt First Baptist Church Loyalty Fund, 1452 White Horse Road, Greenville, SC 29605, The American Cancer Society, or Open Arms Hospice of Greenville, 1836 West Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680.
