LANCASTER, SC:::::::::::Mr. Bobby Lee Powell, age 80, died Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born October 4, 1934 in Lancaster, the son of the late Lee Powell and Creola Michaw Powell and was the husband of Glenda Williams Powell. He was the owner/operator of Powell's TV Service and served our country in the United States Army. He was an avid Gamecock supporter, enjoyed camping, gardening, jewelry making, mineral mining, photography and coin collecting. He was a Mason with Camp Creek Masonic Lodge, a Shriner with the Hejaz Temple and a member of Lynwood United Methodist Church.

Mr. Powell is survived by his wife of 49 years, Glenda Williams Powell, two nephews, Francis Ghent, Jr. of Lancaster and Philip Ghent of Fountain Inn and a niece, Diane Gardner of Hendersonville, NC.

Mr. Powell was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel P. Ghent.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Powell will be 3:00 pm, Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by Mr. Doyle Roach. Entombment will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 2:00 - 3:00 pm, at the funeral home and suggest memorial contributions be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
