LANCASTER, SC :::: Mr. Bobby Leon Roberts, age 72, died Wednesday, February 25, 2015. He was born September 18, 1942 in Lancaster, the son of the late Jessie Wilburn Roberts and Willie Mae Smart Roberts and was the husband of the late Shelby Jean Dixon Roberts. Mr. Roberts retired from General Tire. He enjoyed fishing with his friends and was a member of White Springs Baptist Church.

Mr. Roberts is survived by his step-daughter, Debbie Mona and her husband Zeyad of Weddington, NC; a son, Timothy J. Steele and his wife Rhonda of Lancaster; a brother, William Roberts and his wife Judy of Lancaster; a sister, Norma Jean Stacks also of Lancaster, and six grandchildren, Morgan, Ramsey, Ryan and Miranda Mona and T. J. and Jeffrey Steele.

Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Steele.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Roberts will be 3:00 pm, Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Don Waldrop. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The Family of Mr. Roberts will receive friends from 2:00 -3:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home and suggest memorial contributions be made to White Springs Baptist Church Family Life Center, 1249 Grace Avenue, Lancaster, SC 29720.
