LANCASTER, SC::::::::: Mr. Bobby Gene Haile, age 73, died Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Continue Care Hospital in Pineville. He was born May 27, 1942 in Lancaster, the son of the late John Edgar Haile and Mildred Dean Crenshaw Haile and was the husband of Carolyn Cowan Haile. Mr. Haile enjoyed farming and working with his cows and goats. He worked at Lancaster Water and Sewer District as a water plant operator. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was always there if you needed anything. Mr. Haile loved relaxing at the beach and was a member of Pleasant Dale Baptist Church.

Mr. Haile is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carolyn Cowan Haile, (the love of her life), two sons, Robert Eugene Haile (Monica) and Brian Keith Haile of Lancaster; two daughters, Melissa Ann Scott and her husband, Brian and Donna Carol Shannon of Lancaster; a brother, Ronnie Haile and his wife, Tammy; two sisters, Betty Lucas and her husband, Gene, and Carolyn Haile of Lancaster; five grandchildren, Brandon Haile, Matthew Shannon, Justin Haile, Autumn and Austin Scott; and two great grandchildren, Bryson and Preston Haile.

Mr. Haile was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Haile and Kenneth Haile.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Haile will be 2:00 pm Friday, March 4, 2016 at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church by Rev. Jessie Adams. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 8:00 pm Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster, SC and suggest in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Lancaster, 901 West Meeting Street, Suite 201, Lancaster, SC 29720.
