LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Bobby Gene Adams, age 83, passed away Monday, November 20, 2017 at White Oak Manor in Lancaster. He was born May 17, 1934 in Lancaster, a son of the late Jasper Stewart Adams and Edna Plyler Adams and the husband of Shirley Hinson Adams. Mr. Adams retired after 49 years from Springs Industries-Frances Plant and enjoyed his work.

Mr. Adams is survived by his wife, Shirley Hinson Adams; a brother, Clarence Stewart Adams of Lancaster and a sister-in-law, Margaret Adams of Lancaster.

Mr. Adams was predeceased by his parents; two sons, Mitchell Adams and Randy Adams; four brothers, Fred Adams, Rev. Melvin Adams, James Adams and Odell Adams; and a sister, Myrtle Mangum.

A graveside memorial service for Mr. Adams will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, November 24, 2017 by Mr. Davis Pardue at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family suggests that memorials be made to the Alzheimers Association, Lancaster County Council on Aging, Alzheimers Dept., PO Box 1296, Lancaster, SC 29720.
