FORT LAWN, SC ~ Mrs. Bobbie Thrailkill Ouzts, age 88, passed away Monday, July 12, 2021 at her home.  She was born April 12, 1933 in Fort Lawn, SC, a daughter of the late Archie James Thrailkill and Mary Jane Fudge Thrailkill and was the wife of the late John Walton Ouzts. Mrs. Ouzts retired from SC-DHEC and also worked in retail sales. She was very knowledgeable about the town of Fort Lawn and was known as the town historian. She was a very active member of First Baptist Church of Fort Lawn.

Mrs. Ouzts is survived by a daughter, Susan Riggins and her husband, Jeff; two grandchildren, Mary Beth Williamson and husband, Jon Michael and Wil Riggins and wife Sarah Burnside, both of Lexington, SC; two great grandchildren, Sawyer and Sutton Williamson and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Ouzts was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two sisters, Melba Anthony and Archiebell Leonhardt.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Funeral Service for Mrs. Ouzts will be 11:00 am Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Lancaster Memorial Park officiated by Pastor Stephen Woody.

The family would like to express a special thank you to her caregivers, Kathy Roddey, Rhonda Twitty, Mary Garrison, Julia Waits and Sharlene Knight, for the love and compassion shown to Mrs. Ouzt and for going above and beyond to care for her.
