LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Bobbie Jean Vaughn Bailey, age 86, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at her home.   She was born October 3, 1934 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Lewis Clyde "L.C." Vaughn and Lydia Bernice Bailey Vaughn and was the wife of Robert Lee "Slick" Bailey.  Mrs. Bailey retired from Springs Industries as a cloth inspector.  She loved to travel, shop, bake cakes, cook, and go to the beach.  Mrs. Bailey loved her family dearly and enjoyed every minute she could spend with them.  Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her world.  She was a member of Oakhurst Baptist Church.

Mrs. Bailey is survived by her husband of 70 years, Slick Bailey; two daughters, Debbie Jewett (Melvin), and Robin Childers (Jeff); five grandchildren, Stephanie Parker (Marty), Mark McCowan (Christina), Rusty Oliver, Ryan Childers (Ashley), and Justin Childers; eleven great grandchildren, Bailey Parker, Kent Parker, Lily Parker, Zeke Parker, Mackenzie Parker, Christian McCowan, Ashley McCowan, Nate McCowan, Brynnlee McCowan, Landon Childers, and Braydon Childers; her sister, Ruth Vincent; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by her parents.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Mrs. Bailey will be 2:00 pm Friday, January 8, 2021 at Lancaster Memorial Park officiated by Rev. Marty Parker.   The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
