Obituary

FORT LAWN, SC – Rev. Robert "Bob" Edwin Morgan, age 90, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Friday March 7, 2025. He was born February 21, 1935, in Bronx, NY, a son of the late Jerome Pierce Morgan and the late Susan Gray Morgan   and was the loving husband of Mary Kathleen "Kathy" Prokopp Morgan. Mr. Morgan was an ordained evangelist, and he loved Jesus with all his heart, mind, and soul. He published a Christian newspaper for over 24 years, "The Love Express". Mr. Morgan was a member of Mission Church in Holmes, NY and Fort Lawn Church of God in Fort Lawn, SC. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Alaska training war dogs during the Korean War. Traveling was a highlight in his and Kathy's life.

Mr. Morgan is survived by his wife of 64 years, Kathy Morgan; son, Rob Morgan (Sharon); and granddaughter, Jayde Harmony Morgan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Kent Morgan.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Morgan will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00pm, one hour prior to the service, at Burgess Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Fort Lawn Church of God, 2760 Catawba River Rd, Fort Lawn, SC 29714 or CBN (700 Club), 977 Centerville Turnpike, Virginia Beach, VA 23463.
