Obituary
LANCASTER, SC:::::::::::Mr. Billy Wayne Tolbert, Sr., age 74, died Friday, January 16, 2015. He was born April 12, 1940 in Lancaster County, the son of the late Bennie Conway "Pete" Tolbert and Lema Blackwell Tolbert. Mr. Tolbert retired from Martin Marietta in Charlotte and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Mr. Tolbert is survived by his special friend, Gail Hyatt of Lancaster, a son, Billy Wayne Tolbert, Jr. and his wife Jo of Lancaster, a daughter, Lynne Taylor and her husband Jim of Pageland, and four grandchildren, Richard, Sherry, Michael and Jonathan Taylor.
The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Tolbert will be 11:00 am Monday, January 19, 2015 at Immanuel Baptist Church by Rev. Tim Anderson. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends following the graveside service and suggest memorial contributions be made to Immanuel Baptist Church, 1152 Great Falls Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720.
