LANCASTER, SC ~ Billy Ray Roberts went to be with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at MUSC Health- Lancaster Medical Center. He was born November 2, 1932, a son of the late Timothy Frank Roberts and Willie Mungo Roberts.  He is survived by his three children, Belinda Roberts Lloyd (Ronnie), Davy Ray Roberts (Susan), all of Lancaster, and Tammy Sullivan (Stan) of Spartanburg; six grandchildren, Ronya Lloyd Gaskin (Jeff), Buck Lloyd (Toni), Micky Roberts, Nina Roberts Blackmon, Corey Roberts and Hannah Stinson; seven great-grandchildren, Alexis Gaskin, Xander Gaskin, Gavin Blackmon, Landon Blackmon, Charlee Lloyd, Aspen Lloyd and Nolan Stinson.

He enjoyed building bird houses, camping, playing golf, riding on his golf cart and singing on his karaoke machine. Billy loved the mountains and in his own words said, "I can't begin to list them all, but I enjoyed the life with my family here and in the mountains". He was a Mason at the Tradesville Masonic Lodge and was also a Shriner with the Hejaz Temple.  Billy served in the United States Navy and was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church.

Billy was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Sally McManus Roberts; his parents; a brother, Gerald Roberts; and a sister, Doris Harrell.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Billy will be 2:00 pm Sunday, May 17, 2020 at Spring Hill Baptist Church Cemetery officiated by Rev. Shawn Macy.
