Obituary

HEATH SPRINGS, SC::::::::: Mr. Billy Ray Jenkins, age 79, died Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at his home. He was born May 13, 1936 in Pageland, a son of the late Robert Gus Jenkins and Fannie Mahaffey Jenkins and was the husband of the late Mabelene "Mable" Catoe Jenkins. Mr. Jenkins retired from Springs Industries - Grace Bleachery and was the owner/operator of Jenkins Garage. He enjoyed working in the yard, loved socializing with friends and customers but his greatest love was his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a member of Fork Hill Baptist Church.

Mr. Jenkins is survived by four sons, Charles Jenkins and his wife, Wanda, Clay Jenkins and his wife, Beth, Marty Jenkins and his wife, Cindy, all of Heath Springs, and Tracy Jenkins and his wife Racheal of Florence; a daughter, Sharon J. Snipes and her husband, Keith of Lancaster; one sister, Betty Shook and her husband, Donnie of Lancaster; 17 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by his wife; one grandchild, Chanda Rae Jenkins; six brothers, Bill Jenkins, Woodrow Jenkins, Harlon Jenkins, J.C. Jenkins, Tom Jenkins and Bud Jenkins and three sisters, Eunice Stacks, Annie Bell Rollings and Louise Knight.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Jenkins will be 2:00 pm Friday, December 18, 2015 at Fork Hill Baptist Church by Rev. Kenny Pittman and Rev. Todd Montgomery. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The Family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 1:00 - 2:00 pm Friday in the church fellowship hall and suggest memorial contributions be made to Hospice of South Carolina, 311-B N. Main Street, Lancaster, SC 29720.
