PAGELAND, SC ~ Mrs. Billie Ann Hartis, age 74, passed away on August 24, 2026. She was born on August 4, 1952, in Lancaster, SC, a daughter of the late William “Jack” James Mackey and the late Marie Usher Mackey and was the loving and devoted wife of the late Larry Gene Hartis.

Mrs. Hartis cherished her two beloved dogs, Oreo and Prissy. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, caring for her yard and flowers, and had a special love for her collection of chickens. Above all, her family was the most important part of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

She is survived by her son, Randy Lee Hartis (Ila) of Pageland, SC; her two grandchildren, Raya Brooke Hartis of Pageland, SC and Annette Rena Buckner of Pageland, SC; her three great-grandchildren, Salena Buckner, Vonta Buckner, and Suzette Buckner of Pageland, SC; her sister, Sally Diane Hannah of Lancaster, SC; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hartis was preceded in death by her husband Larry Hartis; her parents, Jack and Marie Mackey; and her three brothers, Tommy Lee Mackey, Jack Usher Mackey, and James Edward Mackey.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Mrs. Hartis will be at 11:00 am, Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Lancaster Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. Tommy Moser.
