INDIAN LAND, SC – Mr. William "Bill" A. Souffrant, Jr., age 83, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2022. He was born January 7, 1939, in Noblestown, PA, a son of the late William A. Souffrant, Sr. and Catherine White Souffrant and was the husband of Rosemary Erbrecht Souffrant. Bill proudly served his country in The United States Army. He put his family first and enjoyed his time with them, especially his grandkids. Bill enjoyed reading, sports, and was an avid Steelers fan. He has deep relationships with friends from Pittsburgh, Idlewild, PineLake, and Sun City. At Sun City, he enjoyed playing softball and working with the tailgaters. Saturdays were always enjoyed eating at Stacks with family, including his "favorite son" Todd.

Bill is survived by his wife of 59 years, Rosemary Souffrant; three sons, Dean Souffrant (Sheila), Scott Souffrant (Liz), and Brad Souffrant (Kristin); four grandchildren, Ashley, Corey, Kelsey, and Tessa; sister, Betty Stewart; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his granddaughter, Tori; a brother, Don Souffrant; sister, Lois Antel; two brothers-in-law, Joe Stewart and Ed Antel; and a sister-in-law, Janet Souffrant.

The Celebration of Life Service for Bill will be 11:00 am Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Jonathan White.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:00 pm, one hour following the service, at Burgess Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions can be made to Mecklenburg Community Church, 8335 Browne Rd, Charlotte, NC 28269, or a charity supporting veterans.
