LANCASTER, SC :::::::: Mr. Bill Bratton Hogue, age 86, of 603 Gillsbrook Road, died Sunday, March 4, 2012 at his home. He was born August 26, 1925 in York County, the son of the late Sam G. Hogue and Betty Chavis Hogue and was the husband of the late Virginia Phillips Hogue. Mr. Hogue retired from Springs Industries, was a member of Covenant Baptist Church and served our great country in the United States Navy during World War II. Mr. Hogue is survived by 4 sons, Bill and Colleen Hogue of Magnolia, AR, Ron and Sherri Hogue of Winchester, VA, Gary and Marie Hogue of Columbia, and Marty and Carol Hogue of N. Charleston, 2 brothers, Elmer Hogue of Monroe, and Perry Hogue of Rock Hill, 2 sisters, Betty Smart and Martha Adkins both of Charlotte, 11 grandchildren, Lea (Robbie) Hardy, Andy (Tiffany) Hogue, Katie (Mark) Smyers, Larken (Richard) Pennington, Kristen (Scott) Dunn, Blake (Samantha) Hogue, Adam Hogue, Elizabeth (Brandon) Krippner, Ashleigh (Jeffrey) Watterworth, Preston Hogue and Wesley Hogue, and 11 great grandchildren. Mr. Hogue was preceded in death by a brother, Sam Hogue who died in World War II. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Hogue will be 2:30 pm, Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Covenant Baptist Church by Rev. Dr. Bert Welch. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park. The Family of Mr. Hogue will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:30 pm Thursday, March 8, 2012 in the fellowship hall and the family suggests memorials to Covenant Baptist Church, Missions Trust Fund, PO Box 578, Lancaster, SC 29721.
