LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. William "Bill" Mitchell Douglas, age 64, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at Carolina Continue Care.  He was born August 1, 1955 in Lancaster, a son of the late William G. Douglas and Sara Duncan Douglas and was the husband of Sandra Watson Douglas.  Bill enjoyed going to the beach, traveling, reading, and gardening in his yard.  He was a hardworking, good hearted, easy going, wonderful man who loved his family.

Bill is survived by his wife of 26 years, Sandra Douglas; three sons, Ed Shelton, Ricky Shelton, and George Shelton (Leisa); a daughter, Christy Stokes (Scott); nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren; a brother Darrell Douglas (Charlene); a sister, Susie Louthian (Orin); and many nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Bill will be 2:00 pm Sunday, September 27, 2020 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Hwy., Lancaster, SC 29720.
