LANCASTER, SC ::::::::::: Mrs. Betty Jean Adams Pittman, age 78, died Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at White Oak Manor - Rock Hill. She was born December 12, 1932, in Lancaster County, the daughter of the late Hunter Milbourne Adams and Eula Mae Sowell Adams and was the wife of the late J.W. "Jake" Pittman. Mrs. Pittman was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. Mrs. Pittman is survived by a son, Felix Pittman and his wife Susan of Lancaster, a daughter, Jennifer P. Croft and her husband Thomas of Shallotte, NC, 2 grandchildren, Amity Croft and Brianna Croft and a brother, Joseph Carl Adams of Lancaster.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Pittman will be 6:00 pm Thursday, February 24, 2011 at The Chapel of Hartley Funeral Home with cremation to follow. The Family of Mrs. Pittman will receive friends from 5:00 - 6:00 pm Thursday evening, February 24, 2011, at Hartley Funeral Home and the family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials to Hospice and Community Care, PO Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731.
