LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Betty Sue Faile Knight, age 88, passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at Lancaster Health and Rehab.  She was born October 16, 1932 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Charlie Minton Faile and Lucy Elizabeth Rollings Faile and was the wife of the late Fred Wilburn Knight.  Mrs. Knight retired from Springs Industries.  She had a passion for helping people and she loved to cook.  She baked many cakes for family and friends. Mrs. Knight was a member of Hyde Park Baptist Church.

Mrs. Knight is survived by two sons, James Ronald Knight and his wife, Iris of Heath Springs and Roger Lynn Knight and his wife, Cindy of Kershaw; a brother, Charles Faile and his wife, Jean of Lancaster; five grandchildren, Adam Knight, Deana Knight Sanders, Matthew Knight, Jacob Knight and Josh Knight; and three great grandchildren, Caleb Lucas, Avery Sanders and Summer Sanders.

Mrs. Knight was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred; a brother, Joe Thomas Faile and a sister, Brenda Rollins.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Funeral Service for Mrs. Knight will be 11:00 am Friday, July 2, 2021, at Lancaster Memorial Park officiated by Rev. Charlie Simpson.

The family will receive friends following the service and suggest memorial contributions be made to Hyde Park Baptist Church, 1898 Flat Creek Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
