LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Betty Faydell "Faye" Baker Hunter, age 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 12, 2019 at her home.  She was born January 6, 1933 in Sumter, SC the daughter of the late Benny Baker and Myrtie Reardon Baker was the wife of the late Billy Gene Hunter.  Mrs. Hunter had a beautiful soul and loved her family.  She was a member of Crestview Baptist Church and embodied God's values in this world. Her family is thankful for her well lived life and know they will see her again.

Mrs. Hunter is survived by a daughter, Martha H. Reed and her husband, James; two grandsons, Robbie Reed and his wife, Patricia, and Rusty Reed and his wife, Clara; four great grandchildren, Raeli, Reanna, Deaton, and Gaines; a brother, Calvin Baker and his wife, Garland of Walkersville, NC; and a long list of friends.

Mrs. Hunter was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Billy Gene Hunter, the love of her life; and her parents.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Hunter will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Jannie Wright and Rev. Casey Swails.  Private burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Hwy., Lancaster, SC and suggest memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer's Association SC Chapter, 901 South Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302 or Riverview Hospice and Palliative Care, 1393 Celanese Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
