LANCASTER, SC ::::::::::: Mrs. Betty Proffit Crouse, age 81, died Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at the Lancaster Convalescent Center. She was born September 13, 1928 in Lex, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Thomas William Proffit and Mary Ellen Proffit Proffit and was the wife of the late George Thomas Crouse, Jr. Mrs. Crouse retired from retail sales, was a member of the Springtimer's Senior Citizens Club and Zion United Methodist Church. Mrs. Crouse is survived by a daughter, Yvonne Guidi and her husband Daniel of War, WV, a son, Gary Lynn Crouse of Lancaster, a brother, Joe Proffit of Lancaster, a sister, Ellen Freeman of Clinton, SC, two grandchildren, Pamela Renee Kimberlin and Ann Marie Hamer and six great grandchildren, Shane Poletti, Eric Poletti, Danny Miller, Aleea Kimberlin, Kaylee Kimberlin and Hannah Miller.Mrs. Crouse was preceded in death by three brothers, Melvin Proffit, Kelly Dean Proffit and Tommy Proffit.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Crouse will be 2:00 pm, Sunday afternoon, April 25, 2010 at Zion United Methodist Church by Rev. Jim Elder with burial to follow in the church cemetery.The Family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 1:00 -2:00 pm, in the Family Life Center and suggest memorial contributions be made to Zion United Methodist Church, 1665 Zion Road, Lancaster, SC 29720
