LANCASTER, SC::::::::::: Mrs. Betty Moore Catoe, age 85, died Tuesday, September 27, 2016. She was born October 25, 1930 in Gastonia, NC, a daughter of the late William Moore and Della Montgomery Moore and was the wife of the late Curtis Lee Catoe, Sr. Mrs. Catoe was employed with Springs Industries for many years and later as the co-owner of Catoes Grocery. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Elgin Baptist Church.

Mrs. Catoe is survived by a daughter, Sandra Rodgers and her husband Seth; a son, Curtis Catoe, Jr. and his wife Peggy; two grandchildren, Allison Moore and her husband Tate and Lauren Adams and her fianc Michael Cooper; three great-grandchildren, Devan Moore, Vance Moore and Callon Moore; and a brother, Bobby Moore and his wife Clara all of Lancaster.

Mrs. Catoe was preceded in death by a son; Terry Randall Catoe; two brothers, Gerald Moore and William Moore; and three sisters, Vera Hall, Billie Faye Driggers and Jean Culp.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Catoe will be 2:00 pm Thursday, September 29, 2016 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Lynn Hough. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 2:00 pm, at the funeral home and suggest memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 311-B, North Main Street, Suite A, Lancaster, SC 29720.
