LANCASTER, SC::::::::::::: Mrs. Bertha Drawdy Usher, age 86, died Monday, March 16, 2009 at Magnolia Manor in Rock Hill. She was born July 6, 1922 in Great Falls, the daughter of the late Lawrence Drawdy and Lorraine Odom Drawdy and was the wife of the late George Usher. She retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Second Baptist Church.Mrs. Usher is survived by 5 grandchildren, Rachel Catoe, David Edwards, Kay Dean, Carol Smith, and Samuel Edwards, 5 great grandchildren, Lorraine Corzo, Christine Dean, Michael Napper, Eric Napper, and Jesse Lee Smith, 6 great-great grandchildren, and 2 special nieces and caregivers, Maggie Knight and Myrtle Helms.Mrs. Usher was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Mary Frances Edwards and Janie Mae Usher.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Usher will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday afternoon, March 18, 2009 at Hartley Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Brian Saxon and Rev. Larry Helm with burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park. The Family of Mrs. Usher will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 - 2:00 pm Wednesday at Hartley Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions be made to Agape Hospice, 1317 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
