LANCASTER, SC:::::::::::: Mrs. Bernice Bailey Vaughn, age 91, died Saturday, July 5, 2008 at the Lancaster Convalescent Center. She was born February 23, 1917 in Lancaster County, the daughter of the late Sydney Bailey and Alice White Bailey Brazell and was the wife of the late Lewis Clyde Vaughn. Mrs. Vaughn retired from Springs Industries - Lancaster Plant and was a member of Oakridge ARP Church. Mrs. Vaughn is survived by 2 daughters, Bobbie Bailey and her husband Robert of Lancaster and Ruth Vincent and her husband Herbert of Heath Springs, 2 half brothers, Tommy Brazell and Clyde Brazell both of Lancaster, 2 half sisters, Katherine Monroe and Mary Ann Baker both of Lancaster, a step sister, Faye Vaughn, 4 grandchildren, Larry Vincent, Debbie McCowan, Robin Childers, and Tim Vincent, 10 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.Mrs. Vaughn was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, Becky Baker and Roger Vincent and a step brother, Wylie Brazell, Jr.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Vaughn will be 11:00 am, Monday morning, July 7, 2008 at Hartley Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Bill Fleming, Jr. with burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park. The Family will receive friends from 7:00 - 9:00 pm, Sunday evening, July 6, 2008 at Hartley Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions be made to Oakridge ARP Church, 2774 McIlwain Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
