LANCASTER, SC::::::: Mrs. Bernice Byrd Craig, age 90, died Monday, February 9, 2015. She was born November 22, 1924 in Kershaw, the daughter of the late James Leon Byrd and Sally Gardner Byrd and was the wife of the late Clyde "Gus" Junior Craig. Mrs. Craig retired from Springs Industries, was a great seamstress and loved baseball. She was a member of Immauel Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday school and training union.

Mrs. Craig is survived by a son, Mitchell Craig and his wife, Jimmie Lou of Manning, SC; a granddaughter, Michelle Craig and two sisters, Jeanette Nelson and her husband Paul of Monroe, GA and Sara Catoe of Kershaw.

Mrs. Craig was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Byrd and Jack Byrd and two sisters, Betty Sherril Reeves and Olivia Roach.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Craig will be 3:00 pm Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Immanuel Baptist Church by Rev. Tim Anderson. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The Family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 pm Wednesday in the church fellowship hall and suggest memorial contributions be made to Immanuel Baptist Church, 1152 Great Falls Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720.
