FORT MILL, SC::::::Mr. Bernard Wagner, age 85, died Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born April 13, 1931 in Queens, NY, a son of the late Bernhard Wagner and Kathrine Mller Wagner and was the husband for 64 years of Joan Eckhardt Wagner. He was the Owner and Operator of Bernhard Wagner Inc., a furniture and upholstery business in Glendale, NY. Mr. Wagner loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed watching Giants football and playing chess. Mr. Wagner attended Church at Charlotte.

Mr. Wagner is survived by his wife, Joan Eckhardt Wagner; two sons, Robert Wagner and his wife, Diane, and William Wagner and his wife, Nancy; a daughter, Heidi Marcy and her husband, Stephen; four grandchildren, Bryan, Erin, Paige and Jack; and three great grandchildren, Nicolas, CJ and Lily.

Mr. Wagner was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Virginia Havighorst.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Wagner will be 11:00 am, Saturday, September 10, at The Chapel Of Heritage Funeral Home in Forest Lawn Dr., Matthews, NC. There will be a private family burial at Forest Lawn East Cemetery.
