KERSHAW, SC:::::::::: Mr. Bernard Carlyle Peanut Holden, age 71, died Thursday, March 3, 2016 at his home. He was born April 3, 1944 in Lancaster, a son of the late Amzie Alex Holden and Leslie Hinson Holden and was the husband of Sandra Vincent Holden. Mr. Holden had worked with Springs Industries and also Pageland Water Company. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and just being outdoors. He loved his pet dogs, Peanut and Bandit and was a member of White Bluff Baptist Church.
Mr. Holden is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sandra Vincent Holden; two sons, Kevin Carlyle Holden of Dallas, NC and Dwight Randall Holden and his wife, Shawna of Kershaw; four grandchildren, Brittany Holden, Brandon Holden, Hunter Holden and Baylee Holden; and a sister, Carol Taylor of Kershaw.
Mr. Holden was preceded in death by two half-sisters, Katherine Kelly and Betty Hunt.
The Celebration of Life Graveside Funeral Service for Mr. Holden will be 11:00 am, Saturday, March 5, 2016 at White Bluff Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Doug Humphries.
The family will receive friends following the graveside service and other times at the home of his son, Dwight Holden, 3000 Duckwood Road, Kershaw. Memorial contributions may be made to White Bluff Baptist Church, 3125 Duckwood Road, Kershaw, SC 29067.
