LANCASTER, SC ~ Rebecca Carolyn Caskey Ghent, age 77, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2026, at her home. She was born on July 16, 1948, in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Elliott “Jack” Caskey and Ada Adele Casey Caskey. 

Becky lived in Lancaster for 77 years. She was employed as an administrative assistant with Springs Industries and DHEC. Becky loved loved loved music and was an accomplished musician playing at Grace Methodist from the age of 12 to 60 then moved to Grace Presbyterian for 15 years. One of her favorite things was playing for her sister Rachel to sing. Becky also loved interior decorating and making drapes. She always did so much for others – if you liked her necklace she would give it to you. Yellow was her favorite color. 

Becky is survived by her cherished son, Bryan Ghent (Shauna); two grandsons, Joiner and Jackson Ghent; great grandchildren, Oliver and Kimberly Ghent; two step grandchildren, Izzy and Jackson Bubar; twin sister, Rachel Robinson; sister, Nancye Hammond (Jack); many nieces and nephews whom she loved; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Ada Caskey; two brothers, Jerry Caskey and Larry Dean Caskey; brother-in-law, Bart Robinson; and niece, Jennifer Ann Robinson.

 A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Becky will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Grace Presbyterian Church officiated by Rev. Marty Simmons. The family will receive friends following the service.

The family would like to give a special thanks Becky’s caregiver, Julia Waits, for her love and wonderful care and also the nurses with Agape of SC for their wonderful care.
