KERSHAW, SC:::::::::::Ms. Barbara Bowers Medlin, age 68, died Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Kershaw Health in Camden. She was born September 11, 1947 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Manley Brice Bowers, Sr. and Mary Louise Player Bowers. Ms. Medlin enjoyed playing all types of games, watching soap operas and loved Elvis. She was a very giving person, sometimes to the point of doing without herself. She loved her children, her grandchildren and was of the Baptist faith.

Ms. Medlin is survived by two sons, Larry Jones and his wife, Melissa of Lancaster and Rob Jones and his wife, Mica of Kershaw, five grandchildren, Taylor Sky Jones, Savannah Starr Jones, Landon Garrett Jones, Diana Sun Jones and Sebastian Brice Jones; two brothers, Junior Bowers and his wife, Linda and Billy Bowers and his wife, Kathy; and a sister, Jeanine Gardner all of Lancaster.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Ms. Medlin will be 3:00 pm, Sunday, December 6, 2015 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Gene Ghent. Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 2:00 - 3:00 pm, Sunday at the funeral home and suggest memorial contributions be made to the Kershaw Lions Club, 680 Discovery Road, Kershaw, SC 29067.
